Fasting

So today is a rare day. Today I hope that not many people read this blog. At least not until September 4th. Because until then, I am doing a fast, and want to do like what it says in Matthew.

17But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 6:17-18

So I am doing a 40 day fast. Before you get worried, though read on. I know it is bad for my body to even do a 30 hour famine more than a few times a year, because I don't get enough nutrition and whatnot. So I am doing a fictional book fast, or a Novel fast. For 40 days I will read only the bible and non-fiction books that will help me grow in my faith. I believe with fasting and prayer, God can really speak to my heart, and I hope he will.
